The Haven, a registered charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 11-25 in Hartlepool, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded funding from the Tees Million fund, part of the Tees Foundation. This funding will enable The Haven to enhance its free counselling services, providing vital emotional support to more young people in the community.

Tees Million’s mission is to make it easy for those who are helping to make lives better, to access £1 million in grant funding for community projects, every year.
Their focus is empowering local communities to address disadvantage and exclusion by distributing grants to community groups and investing in their long-term sustainability, and helping local people achieve their potential in their chosen field.
With this grant, The Haven plans to increase the availability of counselling sessions and reduce waiting times. The funding will also support the training of additional counsellors, ensuring that the services provided are of the highest quality and tailored to the unique challenges faced by today's youth.
"We are incredibly grateful to Tees Millions for their generous support," said Dawn Grover, Project Coordinator at The Haven. "This grant will make a massive difference to our charity and in turn, in the lives of many young people in Hartlepool.”
